Our October bride, Marine, unveils us her fashion and hairstyle advice.
Maison Guillemette : Can you tell us in a few words what will be the ambiance of your wedding?
Marine, our October bride : We wanted a simple and elegant decoration, inspiring by the XVIIIth mind of the reception. The centerpieces are composed of hydrangea bouquets and photophores. The family portraits and paintings, the vintage flowery tapestries, and the old parquet floors finish to add the “out of the time” touch that we were looking for.
Maison Guillemette : How did you decide which wedding dress choose?
Marine, our October bride : Desiring a custom dress, the word to mouth has allowed me to meet Eleonore Pauc, who is based in Bordeaux. I instantly fell in love with her creations and her bride vision.
During our first appointment in her atelier, we have talked, around a tea, about the style of dress I was looking for. Eleonore took the time to listen to me and to advise me. We were in the same wavelength: Eleonore immediately understood what I was looking for. While we were talking, she drew a sketch. Then we choose the laces and the fabrics that will compose the dress and the veil. I saw my dress born and materialize as we go along. Everything was very natural.
The dress was a pleasure to wear until the sunrise. It was an unforgettable experience!
Maison Guillemette : Why did you choose a Maison Guillemette hair accessory? How did you decide yourself ?
Marine, our October bride: I knew Maison Guillemette for a few years, because I own the Essential in several colors. Choosing a Maison Guillemette garland was obvious, both for the quality of the products, and for their beauty.
For the civil wedding, I wanted some color: I choose the fuchsia Porquerolles headband. For the religious wedding, the Rome garland was my true favorite.
I also choose the little Grace hair pins, assorted with my Porquerolles headband, that I have worn the next days, to make this beautiful day last.
Maison Guillemette : What was your hairstyle for the D-Day?
Marine, our October bride : I would affirm the retro aspect of my dress. So I choose a low bun, loosely attached in my neck. The garland was put just above it, and the veil was fixed under the bow of the garland.
Maison Guillemette : An idea, a trick to share to a bride-to-be?
Marine, our October bride : Enjoy the moment, it’s your day! If you can, try to plan little moments at two that you will enjoy during the months that follow the wedding. An evening to review your wedding pictures, a concert, a week-end, whatever… As long as you do something to not let the magic of your wedding disappear too fast. And especially, don’t forget to well sleep the days before the wedding!
Maison Guillemette : For which Maison Guillemette accessory will you be unable to resist? And at what occasion do you want to wear it?
Marine, our October bride : I « flashed » on the Rendez-vous ornament. I love the multifunction accessories that we can wear as well on a white T-shirt to go to work as in the hair for a more festive evening.
